Crave God? 

Do you crave God?  Do you crave to be in His presence?  Do you crave after God like you crave after other things?  I recently heard an amazing teaching that asked the question, “Do you really seek after God?  The teacher (Chip Brim), mentioned that one of the Hebrew meanings of the word seek is to crave.  I then looked up the Hebrew meaning of the word seek and this is what I found: 1) to seek in order to find (a) to seek a thing (b) to seek [in order to find out] by thinking, meditating, reasoning, to inquire into (c) to seek, seek for, aim at, strive after 2) to seek i.e., require, demand (a) to crave, demand something from someone.   

When you substitute the word crave for seek, it brings a new meaning to Matthew 6: 33 which states, “But seek (crave) ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you.”  As you carry out the substitution, this new revelation leaves you something to think about.  Are you really craving God?  This teaching caused me to reflect on how I seek the Lord, His Kingdom and righteousness.  I concluded that I need to absolutely crave after His presence.  I want to encourage you to look inward at this point and examine your cravings.  As you set your sight on the things that you crave, is God in any of those pictures?  What is in those pics?  As for me,  I am looking to crave after God these days!  Crave God?

The Fruit of the Holy Spirit

As the title demonstrates, the evidence that one is alive and well, walking  through this life with the Holy Spirit at the helm is a person that displays love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.  Galatians 5: 22-23

Faithfulness is the key.  I must faithfully by God’s grace display genuine love, true joy, extreme & sometimes inconvenient patience, random unconditional kindness, pure goodness, fidelity in faithfulness, sensitivity while being gentle (especially with your immediate family), and unwavering self control.

Whew!!!  Thank God for the loving mercy and grace that He extends out of His great love for us!

It is time to surrender control of the helm to God.  It is time to get our minds right by purposely washing them with the truth of God’s Word.  Seek to be genuinely filled with the Holy Spirit.  Stop lifting up your soul to idols and be saturated in the Light of Christ’s cleansing and purifying “FIRE”! 

As our hearts are filled and saturated with Christ’s Presence we will see the manifestations of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in genuine fashion.  It is easy to be religious and display what looks like fruit when people are watching.  If we were able to see what happens when nobody is looking, one might find a fruitless field and a hard heart as a result of incomplete surrender to Jesus the “vine dresser”.

If you will allow HIM, Jesus will water and feed the vine.  He will trim branches, remove damaged and/or fallen fruit.  He will encourage and provide the “Fire” necessary for clean, healthy living.   His “FIRE” will give you “LIGHT” for you to see and to walk in HIS footsteps!

Therefore, walk in this life allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you and you will experience greater manifestations of the fruit of the Spirit!

Out of the Fire PWM to visit Prisons in 2011!

Please pray for Bernadette and OOTF as she travels with Expected End Ministries in November and in December.  EEM and OOTF will partner to visit two prisons.  On the weekend of November 10 – 13, they will be visiting a prison in Houston, Texas.  During the first weekend in December, the team will travel to a prison in Florida.  OOTF PWM greatly values each and every prayer spoken over our ministry and ministry endeavors.  Thank you for your help!

“Got Sabbath?”

Hey y’all! I hope this issue of the Liberation Truth finds you and your family well in body, soul and spirit. August and September of 2011 have been wonderful yet busy months as we ministered in conferences, completed several ministry and personal business projects, while also fulfilling ministry responsibilities in our local church! All of this being done while keeping time with God and family the two top priorities by the Grace of God!

During this time, I was lovingly reminded by our ever so gracious Lord Jesus and my very best friend that taking a real Sabbath Day is one of the keys to overcoming the stress that tries to overwhelm you as you work to fulfill your life’s purpose and all that you were called to do for the Kingdom! God wants us to be faithful in all we do for Him but not get so busy we forget to take one day out of the week to honor HIM!

Do you take a real Sabbath Day? I want to encourage you to plan a real Sabbath Day that is completely free of work responsibilities. When I say work responsibilities, this includes household chores, business errands, working at home, and anything else that constitutes work (Exodus 20:8-11). From the beginning (Genesis 2:1-2), we were designed to work during the six days of work and to rest on the Sabbath. Honor the Lord and make the Sabbath rest a priority in your schedule. You will find that keeping the Sabbath day not only honors God but is a major key toward living a prosperous, blessed, happy and long life in Christ! “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy”
